rose hall estate

On the night before Lindsey & Frank exchanged their nuptials in the gardens of Annie Palmer's beautiful Rose Hall Great House, we went on a little nightly "Ghost Tour" of the Great House.  It is one of only a few remaining Sugar Plantation Manor Houses remaining on the Island.  Its lasting legacy was not because the Plantation Owners were kind to their slaves, as was the reason the other Manor Houses remained untouched.  It was because the slaves feared the White Witch's retaliation from beyond the grave.  Well, our "Ghost Tour" revealed no Ghosts to us.  However, does that really mean she doesn't exist?  Not according to the many strange photographs the Great House proudly displays.  For us, however, maybe next time we'll meet Annie. Above all else, the Rose Hall Great House is an exceptional venue for a destination wedding to Jamaica.  The beauty of the Great House and the amazing gardens captivate even the most experienced traveler.  Its beauty was only magnified by the generosity of the most accommodating staff which provided Georgia Watson with Georgia Watson Events the tools to orchestrate such a magnificent wedding even though she was located in Tampa, Florida.   She really outdid herself!  Location was never an issue for Georgia.  She was instrumental in finding many of the vendors who helped make Lindsey & Frank's wedding a dream come true.  From the Ardenne High School Choir of Kingston who drove many hours to sing for the bride & groom and brought the bride and many of the guests to tears, to the amazing food from Ciao Bella Catering which made this Italian girl's palate leap for joy, to the band and DJ who kept all of the guests dancing all night long, her attention to every detail and the ability to manage such a large vendor cast  made this wedding truly a dream wedding.

Congratulations to Lindsey & Frank.

We're Off To St. James Jamaica...

We are off and traveling, again!  This time to St. James, Jamaica.  Our wedding will take place at the Rose Hall Great House.  The Rose Hall Estate truly creates an unsurpassed vintage elegance.  Built in the 1700's, its majesty was unparalleled for the island mansions.  It is surrounded by expansive green lawns, lush gardens and a private pond which creates for the perfect wedding day ceremony & reception.  The Rose Hall Estate which is exclusively operated by The Ritz-Carlton may ring a bell with some readers.  It did us, when we met with our lovely bride.  We had to ask if Rose Hall was ever on one of those most haunted places on Earth shows?  My answer, it apparently was...

The estate and great house has been amazingly restored to its former glory days when Annie Palmer walked the halls.  We'll let you know, when we give you a preview of this weekend's wedding, if Annie still walks those halls.

Happy Travels,

Ryan & Elena Joseph
